Hello everyone! I just starting publishing my work hoping that it would help my husband and I raise money for medical expenses! We are realizing that starting a family is going to be very different from what we originally anticipated. I know that the Lord is going to be faithful (He ALWAYS is) to help provide the funding we need in order to go forward with building our family. I am thankful for all of the support that friends and family have given us. Thank you for taking time to visit my blog! Please contact me with questions, projects, or if you want to purchase any of my projects at refinishedfurnishings@gmail.com

Two Matching Twin Frames

Below are the before and after pictures of these matching twin beds that I refinished in old white.

Gray/White Desk/Chair

Here is another desk I refinished... (I just happened to have 3 of the same desk... hehehe). I decided to paint this a custom light gray color and refinished the top in old white.

After... with the chair that I finished a few weeks ago... CUTE!!!
This is the "before and after" picture.

White Desk and Chevron Chair

I love this desk. I love it so much I'm not sure that I want to sell it :~) I was able to finish this piece a couple of days ago along with a few other projects. I hope you love it as much as I do!

 Here is the "before" picture.

Here I primed the gold trim to help reduce the number of coats of paint...

 Here it is! Finished! ADORABLE!

Here it is pictured with the chevron chair I refinished a while back.

Little Red Table

This is the third piece that goes with the teal bed and yellow dresser. I really enjoyed refinishing it using this beautiful red color. It is called Emperor's Silk and it is also Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. (I LOVE chalk paint).

I didn't take a really good "before" picture but here are a series of pictures.

With this table I used some wood filler to help with some cracking down the middle of the table... I wasn't able to fix it completely but it did help.
I wasn't anticipating this table taking me so long to complete... but the legs were VERY difficult to paint.
Here it is drying... I will post another picture of it standing upright in better lighting in the near future.
 Instagram Collage :~)

French Provincial Double Bedframe

I was able to finish this project a week or so ago and am just now uploading some of the pictures. When my husband and I were home visiting my parents we were able to find some cute pieces of furniture to take back with us along with other pieces that my parents had picked up for us in Michigan a week before we got there. So, we planned ahead and asked if we could borrow a big red diesel truck so that we could bring it all back with us... In my parent's mind that meant "loading up the truck with as much stuff as we can to get rid of what we have and make room in the barn." If only you knew my parents... They LOVE going to auctions which results in them buying more "treasures" then they would ever need. As we were leaving my mom insisted that we take back a double bed box spring and mattress set that was gently used... I threw a fit at first because our truck looked CRAZY when we pulled out of the driveway... Once we were home it stayed in the garage until I was able to refinish this beautiful double bed frame. After it was complete I went to purchase some bedding from Target (I LOVE their sheet sets), and marveled at our "almost free" new bed! So, in the end I was thankful! Here are the pictures of the bed frame.

 Isn't it adorable?
Here is a before and after picture of the headboard.
Here is a before and after picture of the foot board.
I have purchased the cutest bed skirt also from Target from their "Shabby Chic" collection which adds even more "cuteness." I'm waiting a little while to purchase the bed set that matches because it is a bed pricey...

Yellow Dresser

This dresser is almost finished. I'm just waiting for new hardware to put back on the drawers. This yellow dresser is going to go in the same room as the teal headboard/footboard that I posted earlier. I can't wait to show you the last piece that goes with the set! I'm working on it this week! Here are some of the pictures from this project from yesterday.

Here is the "before picture."
I had to do some sanding on this piece to try to get the "smoke smell" out of the piece as well as sand down some of the older paint "drip spots."

Here it is sanded down.

After I sanded it down I wiped it down really well.
English Yellow, meets old yucky color :~)
Here is the chest of drawers after one coat. I used two coats because it was fairly light after just one coat.

Here are the drawers sanded and painted with one coat of English Yellow Chalk Paint.
Before and After - (hardware is on the way and I will post a picture of the final piece later).

Mirror, Mirror

I loved this mirror so much that I decided to keep it for myself... I love the character it brings to our room! I just painted it Old White and did a clear wax finish. I'm thinking about distressing it... but for now it will remain white. (Yes, in the bottom picture the mirror is upside down).

Teal Bedframe

Most of the furniture I have refinished has been either white or gray... however, I was asked to paint this awesome headboard/footboard for a dear friend. I'm obsessed with this teal color! I hope you love it as much as I do!

Here is the footboard before I sanded it down and painted it...

BOOM - We have color!

Here is the MASSIVE headboard....
And once again - COLOR!

Here are the Before and After pictures
Here is the assembled bed... I LOVE IT!!!

Two Refinished Chairs

This past week has been pretty busy! I have been working extra hard trying to get all of this furniture refinished before I go back to work full time starting in August. So, to start off the week I refinished two adorable chairs!

This is a "before" picture of the first chair.
